Home Corporate Social Responsibility Eurotray Social Responsibility Principles

At Eurotray, we recognize our commitment to social responsibility within the scope of our global business activities, commonly referred to as "Corporate Social Responsibility" internationally. These "Eurotray Social Responsibility Code of Conduct" (hereinafter referred to as "CoC") aim to determine what it means, particularly in terms of workplace conditions, social and environmental compliance, transparency, trust-based collaboration, and dialogue. The content of this CoC is an expression of our shared values at Eurotray, including those outlined in our mission statement and our commitment to the social market economy. The CoC is designed as a voluntary commitment to support us in responding to different framework conditions in the global market and coping with challenges and social expectations arising from increasingly networked collaborations in value chains.

Fundamental Understanding of Socially Responsible Corporate Governance

1.1 This CoC is based on the common understanding of socially responsible corporate governance. For Eurotray, this means taking responsibility for our decisions and actions by considering the economic, technological, social, and ecological consequences and striking an appropriate balance of interests. Within our own capabilities and scope of action, we voluntarily contribute to the well-being and sustainable development of society. In doing so, we act in accordance with generally accepted ethical values and principles, particularly integrity and honesty, and respect for human dignity.

Scope of Application

2.1 This CoC covers all our branches and business units worldwide.

2.2 Within the scope of our capabilities and areas of action, we commit to promoting compliance with the content of this CoC among our suppliers and within the broader value chain.

Foundations of Socially Responsible Corporate Governance

At Eurotray, we actively work to ensure the long-term observance and implementation of the following values and principles:

3.1 Compliance with Laws

We adhere to the applicable laws of the countries in which we operate and other legal regulations. In countries with weak corporate structures, we carefully examine which good business practices from our country can support responsible corporate governance.

3.2 Integrity and Organizational Management

3.2.1 At Eurotray, we base our actions on generally accepted ethical values and principles, particularly integrity, honesty, respect for human dignity, openness, and the principles of non-discrimination based on religion, ideology, gender, or ethnicity.

3.2.2 We reject bribery and corruption in the sense of the United Nations Convention (the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which entered into force in 2005) and promote transparency, integrity, responsible management, and control within the company.

3.2.3 Eurotray follows clean and reputable business practices and fair competition. In the competitive environment, we ensure professional behavior and high-quality work. As Eurotray, we cooperate with regulatory authorities.

3.3 Consumer Interests

When consumer interests are affected, we comply with consumer protection regulations and appropriate sales, marketing, and information practices. We particularly emphasize the protection of vulnerable groups (e.g., youth, severely disabled).

3.4 Communication

At Eurotray, we engage in open and dialogue-oriented communication with our employees, customers, suppliers, and other relevant parties regarding the requirements and implementation of this CoC. All documents and records are organized in compliance with our obligations, not unfairly altered or destroyed, and stored appropriately. Commercial secrets and business partner information are handled with sensitivity and confidentiality.

3.5 Human Rights

We commit to promoting human rights and protecting human rights according to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, General Assembly Resolution 217 A (III) of 1948), particularly:

Declaration on Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery Statement

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of basic human rights. It manifests in various forms such as forced and compulsory labor, human trafficking, and child labor, all sharing the common feature of depriving an individual of their freedom for exploitation by another person for personal or commercial gain.

Eurotray acknowledges its ethical and social responsibility as a company that must adopt a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery. We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and ensuring there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains.

Eurotray will achieve these objectives through the following means:

Thorough examination and investigation of the supply chain Continuous evaluation and review of procedures to ensure all employees are paid at least the minimum wage and have labor rights Encouragement of the expression of concerns and protection of whistleblowers Eurotray will not knowingly engage with any company involved in slavery or human trafficking. Eurotray has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and expects all companies in its supply chain to adhere to this approach. Upon request, suppliers must demonstrate compliance with this policy to Eurotray's reasonable satisfaction. Eurotray may conduct periodic audits of this policy and expects suppliers to fully cooperate with such audits. In the event of a breach of this policy by a supplier, Eurotray will take immediate action, which may include termination of any supply agreement, arrangement, or other contract with the relevant supplier.
